When a film is written, directed by, and stars the same guy, it normally spells disaster. When that man is Stephen Chow, it means something completely different: Delirious fun! His last two films, Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, were high energy flicks with a quirky sense of humor and his latest, CJ7 is cut from the same cloth. It’s the story of a poor father who finds a toy for his son which turns out to have amazing and unique powers. CJ7 runs at the Lake Worth Playhouse (713 Lake Ave., Lake Worth) from June 13 through 19. Tickets cost $8. Visit www.lakeworthplayhouse.org, or call 561-586-6410 for tickets and showtimes.
