Lock & Key singles mixers make dating easy. Instead of grasping for a perfect one-liner, racking your brain for a memorable icebreaker or spending countless nights uploading shirtless pictures of yourself to eHarmony, the work is done for you. Your opening line is simple: “Can I see if we match?” Friday night, Gulfstream Park (601 Silks Run, Hallandale Beach) holds its inaugural Lock & Key Singles Party at the gaming park’s martini bar from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. During the event, designed for guests ages 30 to 50, female guests are given a lock and men attendees are given a key. There is a lock for every key; guests must mingle to find their other half. It could make a great first-date story. Tickets cost $24 in advance (call 877-565-3836, or visit LockAndKeyEVENTS.com/SFL), $29 at the door for those who have RSVPed, and $35 for anyone who just shows up. Admission includes one free drink and appetizers until 8:30, plus admission into the martini bar throughout the evening and a long list of potential prizes, including a partner.
