The NBA lockout might have canceled the preseason games through December 15, but it couldn’t stop the red-hot success of the Miami Heat. Put your game face on, because our home team is playing the Orlando Magic at the American Airlines Arena on Sunday, and you’re going to need some beers while watching it.
Duffy’s and Bru’s Room are well-worn sports bars. Pick a lesser-known venue like Slacker’s Bar & Grill in Fort Lauderdale to choke down some chicken wings and gulp gallons of beer. The locals are likely to give you a hard time, but it’s all in good fun.
The game starts at 6 p.m., which is just in time to take advantage of the bar’s daily drink specials, which include $2.50 domestic pints, $3.50 import pints, and $4.50 for pints of Magic Hat. Happy hour only lasts from 4 to 7 p.m., so get there early to get your seat and a few pitchers to start.
Visit slackersbarandgrill.com, or call 954-530-4758.
