New York State of Comedy

Observations on everything “from religion to junk food” are what you can expect from this actor-turned-comedian hailing from New York. Keith Anthony’s act is an intelligent look at life, developed over years of working random jobs before arriving at stand-up comedy. Anthony got into the laughs biz when a friend entered him in a comedy contest in Los Angeles. After that, he was, he says, “hooked for life.” Anthony has appeared on A&E, ABC, Showtime, and Comedy Central. In addition to his standup routine, Anthony can do improv; he’s a former member of the notorious Los Angeles improv troupe the Groundlings. He brings his anything-goes approach to the New York Comedy Club (8221 Glades Road #10, Boca Raton) with one show on Friday (at 9 p.m.) and two on Saturday (8 and 10:15 p.m.). Tickets cost $12.
