Remember the way you felt reading Edgar Allan Poe’s “Tell-Tale Heart” for the first time? The vulture eye keeping a close watch on your every move. The sound of the beating heart echoing through your ears. The hairs on the back of your neck standing up as the prose grows more intense. Poe certainly knew how to evoke a certain type of emotion — terror — from his readers. Art Nouveau presents “Poe,” a night of art dedicated to the gothic lit master himself. Beginning at 8 p.m., more than 25 artists will showcase work in various mediums; some will even create projects right then and there at Respectable Street (518 Clematis St., West Palm Beach). There is no cover, but you must be 21 to attend. Visit artnouveauevents.com.
