Enter tarot cards and palm readings and Miss Cleo, because few people like surprises, especially when it comes to their future. But unfortunately, unlike presents, youre not likely to get an easy exchange if you dont like what you see. Whether or not you believe in the divine powers of the tarot, theres still a lot to be appreciated about their artistic value a peek at doom and/or fortune and how everything (past, present, and future) comes together. Super Punch blogger John Struan saw this when he enlisted an army of artists to contribute a tarot card for the blogs three-year anniversary. The artists interpretations, spanning from Jarrod Maruyamas squeal-inducing cuteness to Santiago Carusos disturbingly grim Five of Cups, will be unveiled at the Super Punch Tarot exhibit at the Bear and Bird Boutique + Gallery, inside Tates Comics (4566 N. University Drive, Lauderhill). The free exhibit runs through March 23. Fun fact: Tarot cards originated in Europe as card games.
