The Other Rock

Some celebrity siblings manage to carve out their own section of the spotlight, while others are comfortable warming their measly career in the shine cast on their more famous kin. Don’t confuse Tony Rock with the second group, because the only footsteps he’s followed in are some very funny ones. He had us rolling on the floor week after week when he invaded our TV screens as perpetual single guy Dirk Black on the now-cancelled All of Us, and he does the same as the current host of TV One’s The Funny Spot. Take that, Chris. Tonight is the last night to catch Tony at the Miami Improv (3390 Mary St., Coconut Grove), and admission is only $16. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Visit
Thu., July 10; Fri., July 11; Sat., July 12; Sun., July 13, 8:30 p.m., 2008
