Voodoo Doll Loves the Blues

A bit of New Orleans flair and voodoo magic comes to life Saturday at Cajun eatery Rosey Baby. In full force, the annual Hoodoo Voodoo Halloween Blues Ball is back for its 13th year, celebrating blues music with Halloween fun. Blues musical acts on the bill include Albert Castiglia, Joel DaSilva & the Midnight Howl, and the Nucklebusters. Blues star Billy Gibson will headline the bash. The festivities get under way at 8 p.m. Saturday and end at 2 a.m. Come dressed in costume as a voodoo doll, or break away from the theme and come as whatever you like. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Rosey Baby is at 4587 N. University Drive in Lauderhill. Cover is $10. Call 786-380-0866, or visit hoodoovoodoo.com.
