When was the last time you did something nice for someone else in bed? How about in front of 15,000 screaming spectators? Put away the cookies and shut off the T.V., Miami, because after six years of hitting the snooze button, The Great Coconut Grove Bed Race is making its triumphant return to the streets.

No false advertising here. The Bed Race involves just that: Teams rolling twin beds down Commodore Plaza and Grand Avenue (3015 Grand Ave., Miami) in pursuit of pillow-talk glory. The race kicks off with time trials on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., and then the fastest eight beds will run in one final drag race for a special, T.B.A. prize. If that’s not enough to get you out of bed, Helio Castroneves — a three-time Indy 500 champion — will be the Grand Marshall, and all the proceeds of the race will go to the Alonzo Mourning Charities.
