Life as a reanimated corpse has its ups and downs. On the positive side, you never have to worry about rent, complicated cell phone plans, or mailing out holiday cards. In the negative column you have a complete lack of free will, sleeping on a pile of your brethren, like rock musicians on tour, and hustling to appease your taste-lust for brains. It’s all terribly complicated.

One thing that is simple to understand is that zombie flicks are better appreciated when viewed in pajamas with friends. Add a large assortment of snacks and a bitchin’ coffee bar, and you’ve got the perfect Saturday night. Aileen Liptak understands this, and that’s why she’s summoning the undead and their groupies to a Zombie Pajama Party at Undergrounds Coffeehaus (2743 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) tonight. Yes! You and your fellow B-film buffs are invited to camp out at the coffee shop in your cutest, fuzziest pajamas and gorge on a zombie marathon: Night of the Living Dead (8:30 p.m.), Dawn of the Dead (10:30 p.m.), and Day of the Dead (12:30 p.m.). (Only original versions will be shown.) There’s also a Draw the Best Scary Zombie contest, so you and your pals can flex your prowess with crayons and paper.
