Accountability -- it's a trait that's seemingly absent from a few of Florida's politicians, especially after Gov. Rick Scott declared that the state's credit rating had been upgraded to AAA by Standard & Poor's.
The truth is, Florida's credit rating was upgraded to AAA -- in 2005, under then-Gov. Jeb Bush, and it's remained AAA ever since, as you can see in an explanation by PolitiFact.
We're not sure whether Florida politicians and conservative bloggers are just blindly taking their talking points from the governor or whether they decided to announce the imaginary credit upgrade themselves, but we'll let you know who we found decided to spread the blatant bullcrappery:
Amazing how Rick Scott could get Florida upgraded to AAA credit rating without raising taxes.
As of the time of this post, only the Florida GOP has corrected itself in the error.
If you find anyone else who is peddling the credit upgrade from Narnia, feel free to let us know and we'll add them to the list.
