Update: The lanes at Dixie Highway and Glades Road in Boca Raton have re-opened to commuter traffic.

A person apparently ended his life Monday morning when he jumped in front of a train in Boca Raton.

The incident happened at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Glades Road, shutting down traffic in the area.

According to wptv.com, it appears a pedestrian intentionally stepped in front of the oncoming train.

The Boca Raton Police are on the scene and have shut down traffic. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's office has also responded to the incident.

Meanwhile, those needing to get through the area will have to take a detour.

No word on how long the road will be shut down. So avoid the area if you can.
