Lately, Karma Lounge has been the cornerstone of South Florida's dance circuit. This Friday is no different, as Hooj Choons/Rip Records artist Tarantella, a.k.a. Chris Bourne, brings U.K. progressive, tech-house, and breaks to our shores.

Already a veteran on a global scale, Tarantella is renowned for his early work at Whoop! Records, his jet-setting DJ gigs, and his frequent tribal-tech collaborations with production partner Redanka, a.k.a. Andy Holt. Having remixed the likes of Way Out West, Tilt, and Derrick May and indulged in side projects with scene kings Danny Tenaglia (DATAR), Satoshi Tomiie (Graffik), and Sander Kleinenberg (SKTR), Tarantella's got quite the kung-fu grip on techno music.

Along with Bliss/Renaissance DJ Jon Cowan and hometown success story Austin Leeds, Tarantella is guaranteed to turn this lounge into a full-throttled discotheque. Just leave the glow sticks at home. -- Kiran Aditham

Tarantella and Company bring you Bliss at Karma Lounge, 4 W. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, on Friday, November 19, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Admission is $20.
