We won't venture a guess as to what a jail inmate would possibly need Viagra for, but the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office announced today that it has charged a 40-year-old corrections deputy with smuggling the little blue pills and other contraband into the county jail.
Deputy Dawn Kramer was busted -- with the help of a confidential informant -- after the cops discovered she allegedly showed an inmate pictures of her and her family on vacation on a jailhouse computer, occasionally brought him dinner and other contraband, and "possibly had an intimate relationship" with said jailbird.
After Kramer allegedly bought some stolen Visa gift cards from the informant -- in a deal facilitated by the inmate -- she began bringing the inmate contraband in the jail, according to an arrest affidavit.
The cops say she first gave the inmate a double cheeseburger from Burger King, as well as french fries and some condiment packets -- each of which count as contraband at the jail.
Kramer then gave the inmate cigarettes and coffee after more stolen gift cards came her way, police say.
A few days later, the confidential informant told one of the investigators that Kramer had given him five Viagra pills and gave one to another deputy and used one before he decided to hand the other three over to investigators. What happened after the inmate and the other deputy acquired the pills is not detailed in the report.
After all was said and done, Kramer was arrested for allegedly introducing the following items of contraband into the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center: A $100 bill, coffee, cigarettes, Viagra pills, one cheeseburger, French fries, two creamer packets, one Sweet 'N Low packet, and numerous packets of ketchup and mayonnaise.
Kramer has been charged with two counts of dealing in stolen property and one count of introducing contraband into a penal facility.
If convicted of all counts, Kramer could face a maximum sentence of 35 years in prison.
