A lot of people think abstract art is just a bunch of paint thrown around on a canvas. Obviously, they just aren't deep enough to get it. If you want to show off your keen artistic eye or just want to pick up a bit of culture, you should head down to the Dina Gustin Baker Solo Exhibition at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach. The abstract exhibit will highlight a sample of the artist's works from her 70-year career, which included time spent with Jackson Pollack, Robert Motherwell, Willem de Kooning, and other notable artists. The free exhibit will be featured until March 9 in the Cultural Council's Lawrence A. Sanders Foundation Gallery. The Cultural Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 601 Lake Ave. in Lake Worth. Call 561-471-2901, or visit palmbeachculture.com.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Feb. 12. Continues through March 9, 2013
