Cinophiles rejoice, the art-house scene is growing as legendary indie film house, Cinema Paradiso -- home of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival -- expands to a second location in Hollywood. The new 110-seat cinema won't be open until later this summer, but if you'd like a sneak peak of things to come -- and a small role in making it happen -- head over to Face Restaurant in Hollywood on Thursday for the Cinema Paradiso Hollywood $100,000 Campaign Kick-Off Party. The gestating theater is already off to a good start thanks to a $30,000 contribution from the City of Hollywood. For a $20 donation, you can rub elbows with folks from Cinema Paradiso and the Broward Film Society, snack on hors d'oeuvres, enjoy some cocktails, see artistic renderings of the theater before anyone else, and get a walking tour down to the site, at 2008 Hollywood Blvd. Face Restaurant and Bar is located at 2022 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood.
