San Francisco's 21st Amendment Brewing Launches Distribution in Florida

Another West Coast brewery is making its way to the Sunshine State. Tampa's J.J. Taylor is set to distribute San Francisco's 21st Amendment Brewing Company in Florida. 

Starting January 25, Tampa-based J.J. Taylor Distributing will start pushing 21st Amendment beers to retail outlets across its 17-county coverage area. Unfortunately, they don't distribute to Broward and Palm Beach counties, although the distributor has a corporate office in Jupiter. 

But that doesn't mean beer folk in those counties won't have access to 21st Amendment's brews. It's just that they won't get them from J.J. Taylor, whose distribution ends just over the northern border of Palm Beach County. Getting access 21st Amendment beers is just a short road trip away. Beer trade, anyone? 

The initial lineup of 21st Amendment brews in Florida includes Brew Free! or Die IPA, Back in Black Black IPA, El Sully Mexican-Style Lager, Down to Earth Session Ale, Toaster Pastry India-Style Red Ale, Sneak Attack Farmhouse Saison (seasonal), and Lower De Boom Barleywine (Insurrection Series) as well as the brewery's seasonal variety pack, Attack Pack.

21st Amendment Brewery was founded in 2000 by Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan. The name of the brewery is a reference to the 21st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which officially repealed the 18th Amendment, which was the start of Prohibition, which ended on December 5, 1933.

The brewery's been winning awards at the Great American Beer Festival since 2003. Its brewpub is located at 563 Second St. in San Francisco.
