Maybe the Winter Olympics should be played every year — or maybe every February the National Hockey League should just take a two-and-a-half week break — because since the Olympics, the Panthers have looked like a different team. Forget those guys who couldn’t close out opponents: This Panthers squad plays hard from the drop of the first puck to the final horn. So what does that mean for the visiting Predators when they skate into BankAtlantic Center (1 Panther Parkway, Sunrise) at 7:30 p.m. Monday? Well, the Predators aren’t facing the early season Panthers team they thrashed up at Nashville 4-1 on November 28 (that loss was the fourth of a five-game losing streak for the Panthers). But the Predators, fighting for the seventh or eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff picture, likely won’t be facing backup goalie Scott Clemmensen this time around either — Tomas Vokoun, an original Predator, should be in goal for the Cats. By the way, a heads up: After this, there’s only seven games left in the season, and only four of those are at the Bank. Tickets start at $10. Visit ticketmaster.com, or call 954-835-7000.
