Crash This Musical

Your favorite characters come to life in The Wedding Singer, a stage-set comedy from when hair was big and collars were flipped up. It’s 1985, and rock-star hopeful Robbie Hart is tearing up the wedding circuit, leaving bridal parties in his dust. But when he loses his head groupie and current fiancée, he’s left alone at the altar, shot through the heart. While plodding through his wedding performances, he meets and falls for bubbly blond waitress Julia, but it will take the performance of a lifetime to snag this bodacious babe. Don’t worry; this show is complete with a heartfelt performance of “Wanna Grow Old With You,” but we can’t guarantee a cameo by Billy Idol (apologies). The Wedding Singer, performed by Slow Burn Theatre, is taking the stage at West Boca Performing Arts Theater, located at 12811 Glades Road in Boca Raton. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays until June 29, 2 p.m. Sundays until June 30. Admission is $35. Call 866-811-4111, or visit
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: June 21. Continues through June 30, 2013
