Nothing signifies the start of the holiday season like having the pants scared off you by a blood-encrusted, brain-munching zombie. Flesh-eating goons can be as comforting as a warm glass of eggnog in that regard. As such, families fueled with fall-time ghoulish zeal will go out in droves to "Fright Nights," the largest haunted attraction in South Florida. Located on the South Florida Fairgrounds, this year's "Fright Night" promises to be larger than ever, with five houses of terror designed for spine-tingling scares. Additionally, a "Monster Midway" with rides and games awaits those tired of the ghastly gags. The maximum terror begins Thursday at 9067 Southern Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Admission to the park and unlimited rides is $15. Admission to the five haunted houses is $5 each. The Total Terror Ticket is $20 online or $25 at the gate for unlimited rides and admission to any three haunted houses. Call 561-247-2360, or visit myfrightnights.com.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 6 p.m.-midnight. Starts: Oct. 11. Continues through Oct. 27, 2012
