Go Out For The Holiday

When family and friends live out of reach and booking a flight to their Thanksgiving feast isn't an option, spending Turkey Day alone might lower one's spirits. Do not despair. Megabite Cybercafe hosts a weekly live music showcase and is changing its program in honor of the gluttonous festivities to serve the Dixon Live Special Thanksgiving. Solo musical act Robert H. Clark, AKA Dixon, is sure to please with his soft, smooth voice and acoustic renditions of his own material off his album In No Time Soon and covers of popular rock tunes. Dixon brilliantly performs a one-man show with his live vocals and harmonizer, strumming his acoustic guitar along to punchy drumbeat loops. For those not familiar with Dixon's acoustic offerings, this Indiana native boasts serious achievements: He toured as a vocalist for the U.S. Air Force entertainment crew in 2011, and in July, he scored recognition as one of Supercuts Rock the Cut Artist Ambassadors, where he has since enjoyed a top-20 spot on Supercuts download chart. See Dixon play at 8 p.m. Thursday at Megabite Cybercafe, located at 1910 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood. Call 954-237-2888, or visit dixonstreet.net. No cover.
