Get ready to eat, drink, and be merry — Latin-style — when the 16th annual Hollywood Beach Latin Festival hits the sand. The day will be filled with two stages blasting Latin sound; expect performances by Tony Swing, Orquesta Brava, DJ Luandy, Fulanito and Didier Hernandez y Su Orquesta. There will also be dancing, arts & crafts merchants, and activities for children. Cocineros have whipped up Latin food from all over the hemisphere — Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua and Venezuela. As part of the celebration, the festival’s main sponsor, Aetna, will host a health pavilion offering free blood pressure screenings, seminars, and kids’ activities. The Hollywood Beach Latin Festival will take place on the beach, at the Hollywood Boardwalk and New York Street, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free. Visit hollywoodlatinfestival.com.
