You've heard the mantra "Support your local brewer." And it couldn't be more appropriate than on Saturday, when South Florida gushes with local craft brewers at the Intracoastal Park in Boynton Beach. Hosted by the Florida Brewers Guild and sponsored by the City of Boynton Beach, the festival will feature more than 30 craft breweries with overflowing taps that day -- all from Florida. Some of the confirmed breweries include 7venth Sun Brewing, Cigar City Brewing, J Dubs Brewing, Swamp Head Brewery, Florida Beer Co. -- the list goes on and on. South Florida breweries include Wynwood Brewing, Tequesta Brewing, MIA Brewing, and Brewzzi. And if you get hungry, there will be food trucks. Tickets sell for $40 for general admission with a $3.25 fee and $75 for VIP with a $4.97 fee. VIP tickets are limited to the first 100 guests and will allow one hour early admission and free hors d'oeuvres from the food trucks. Unless you enjoy drinking mass-produced pale swill, come here for a craft beerstravaganza. The Intracoastal Park is located at 2240 N. Federal Highway in Boynton Beach. The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m., rain or shine, and you must be 21 or over to attend. Visit floridabrewersguild.org, or call 561-742-6650.
