Only two things can improve a night out drinking with your friends — a designated driver and doing so for a good cause. The Delray Beach Bus Loop provides you with both. You get to get your booze on while those in need benefit and a friendly bus driver tours you around downtown Delray Beach. In this case, it’s the Delray Center for the Arts and the Delray Beach Co-Op Marketing Program that will benefit from the event. Participants of the Delray Beach Bus Loop get a free drink at each venue until 11 p.m., and some venues even offer appetizers. In addition to the appetizers is a pizza postparty at 10:30. The Bus Loop will have trolleys arriving at select spots throughout the night. Venues include Boston’s, 3rd & 3rd, O’Conner’s, Kevro’s Art Bar, Hurricane Lounge, Hyatt Place, Puttin Around, Salt, and Dada’s. Live music will also be happening at some of the venues, so you can sip your drink while jamming out to great bands. The Delray Bus Loop takes place Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. Check-in is from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Old School Square with tables located at Atlantic Avenue and NE First Avenue or at the Old School Square’s Swinton Avenue entrance in Delray Beach. Tickets cost $20 prepaid online before Friday, $30 online on Friday, or $35 at the event, which is for those 21 and over. Call 954-574-6000, or visit busloop.org/the_delray_beach_bus_loop.
