Do you ever sit at your desk and not work? Well, obviously. But how about instead of finishing those TPS reports, you find yourself staring out the window, conjuring up the best way to break out of the working blues shackles? Well then chances are good you have seen 9 to 5. The classic 1980 film staring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda was an instant classic and the legacy continues with the script getting a musical upgrade. The outlandish comedy focuses on a scenario all to often only imaginary: What would happen if you kidnapped your boss? But one of the defining pieces of the cinematic beauty is the title song. That's right, through the irreverent humor and star-studded cast, it's the music that emerged on the other side as a winner. Which is why it is so fitting to give the entire storyline a musical facelift and a brand new life with a brand new audience.
