Mother's Day is about showing the woman who brought you--or your children--into the world that you appreciate her efforts. Not only did she carry you--or, again, your children--around for nine months, but she's had to put up with your crap ever since.

She kind of deserves a round of applause for that.

Or, at least, a nice meal. That being said, holidays tend to get pricey after a while. If you're looking to treat mom to something nice, but budget friendly, we have a list of restaurants running specials after the jump.

Broward

RA Sushi Bar Restaurant

For a nontraditional Mother's Day, the Sushi spot will be offering an all day happy hour from 11 am to close. More than 35 sushi and small plate items will be featured for $2.25 to $7.25 a piece with drinks ranging from $3 to $7.

If you're looking for a nice place in West Broward, the Weston spot is offering a three course meal with a cocktail for $34.95. Diners will have options of two appetizers, four entrees, and everyone gets a passionfruit mousse for dessert.

The oceanfront restaurant is offering a complimentary champagne cocktail or Bloody Mary with purchase of breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is served from 8 am to noon. Lunch is from noon to 4 pm.

With extended hours, from 11 am to 10 pm all day, the Las Olas spot will be serving a special Mother's Day Brunch from 11 am to 3pm. Dishes include granola French toast with bacon and fruit, black iron skillet scramblers, crab benedict with hollandaise sauce and asparagus, and more.

If you're looking for a brunch buffet with a Latin flair, Bongos at the Hard Rock is hosting a Cuban-style brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. The cost is $35 per person, $15 for kids ages 7 to 11, and children under 7 free. All moms will receive a complimentary rose and "Mami Mimosa."

The Las Olas cheese shop will be offering a special Mother's Day menu for brunch. For $19.99 guests get a three cheese fritatta, prosciutto and melon, trio of cheese, artisan bread and honey, and flourless chocolate cake. Bottomless mimosas are just $9.99. Palm Beach

The Atlantic Avenue eatery is offering a special Mother's Day buffet brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. The brunch will feature an omelet station, french toast, waffles, fresh fruit, sushi station, carving station, and more. The cost is $38.95 per adult, $15.95 for kids. Reservations highly suggested.

From 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, the West Delray Beach favorite will be holding a brunch with a range of traditional American dishes. Farmhouse hash ($14), steak and eggs ($16), customizable omelets or scrambles ($12), multiple french toast options including, cinnamon ($12), peanut butter and banana ($12) or strawberry and whipped cream ($14), and more will be offered. The theater-side restaurant will be offering a special brunch featuring giveaways--free children's party at the restaurant, spa gift-baskets and cards, and more--from 10 am to 2:30 pm. In addition to the regular menu, a special brunch menu will be available including dishes like crab cake eggs benedict ($17), smoked salmon plate ($13), apple cinnamon oatmeal brulee ($8), and more.

The downtown West Palm eatery is offering a three course brunch with a complimentary champagne cocktail for all moms. It's 35 bucks per person with three appetizers, three entrees, and three desserts to choose.

If mom is a meal and movie kind of girl, the restaurant and theater are offering some specials. Tanzy will be giving away either a mimosa or a dessert to all visiting moms from 11 am to 3pm. iPic will be handing out roses to all moms watching a movie.

The Palm Beach Gardens spot is serving a special a la carte Mother's Day Brunch from 7 am to 3 pm along with its regular menu. All moms will receive a glass of Prosecco and chocolate surprise on the house. Live music will be onsite from 11 am to 2 pm.

In addition to its regular menu and superb coffee line up, Saquella Cafe is featuring a special healthy brunch menu from 7 am to 2 pm. Plus, moms will get a complimentary glass of Prosecco and chocolate.
