South Florida is home to some amazing chefs. Numerous James Beard award-winners and nominees can be found behind the line at tons of local restaurants. But one would be hard-pressed to find a face more recognizable than Michelle Bernstein. Aside from her weekly PBS show Check, Please! South Florida, Bernstein has made regular appearances as a guest judge on Top Chef, the Today Show, The Martha Stewart Show, and Univision's Despierta America.

If you consider yourself to be a celebrity chef groupie, your chance to meet her is coming up. Bernstein was recently named the honorary chair of Delish 2013, which takes place on March 22. Tickets are on sale now.

Delish 2013, presented by the Wasie Foundation and hosted by Premier Beverage, is the foundation's fundraising event intended to highlight ARC Broward Culinary Institute. The Institute, which holds the Traveling Plate Supper Club, helps people with disabilities and other problems by giving them real-world employment opportunity. As part of the event, five highly acclaimed chefs -- the line-up is still being hashed out -- will pair up with five student chefs to plan, budget, and execute their menus for the night's event. Guests will receive a ticket at the beginning of the night to vote for "fan favorite." Bernstein will be judging for "best overall."

Throughout the evening student-prepared hors d'ouevres will be passed around and drink stations will be set up. Bernstein will also present student chef of the year, Arielle Weeks, with an award.

The event takes place March 22 at 6:30 p.m., in the Grand Panorama Ballroom, Hyatt Pier Sixty-Six. General Admission tickets are $125 per person. VIP tickets, which include a chance to meet Chef Bernstein are $175 a head.
