Joe DiMaggio Happy Hour Fundraiser
Starting at 8 p.m., you can simultaneously drink and help out charity for a solid two hours. Taking place at America’s Backyard (100 SW 3rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale), participants will enjoy an open bar for $25, with half of proceeds benefiting Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Cuisines and Poetry
Midtown Art Gallery (1033 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) will host their monthly event combining both food and poetic talent. Admission is $10 for two people before 9 p.m. and $10 per person after 9 p.m. Food costs $10 a plate. Visit their Facebook page.

ABMB Artist + Curator Brunch
Art Basel is in Miami, but Fort Lauderdale art haven Girls’ Club (117 NE 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale) is getting in on the fun. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees can join founder Francie Bishop Good, directors Sarah Michelle Rupert and Michelle Weinberg along with artists and guest curator Micaela Giovannotti for a brunch. Fort Lauderdale Bar Crawl
The Fort Lauderdale Bar Crawl is back, starting at 7 p.m. The first stop is Tilted Kilt (219 S Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale) with other participating bars including Tarpon Bend, Crafti Bar, Stache, Lucky’s Tavern, America’s Backyard and Cyn Nightclub. Each stop includes one free drink with purchase. Tickets are $20 and can be found at FortLauderdaleBarCrawl.com.


Grand Opening of Old Arcade

Breakfast with Santa
Santa will be making his rounds at Brio locations in Boca Raton (The Shops at Boca Center, 5050 Town Center Circle, Suite 239, Boca Raton) and Plantation (Westfield Broward Mall, 499 South University Dr., Plantation). Guests can have breakfast with the jolly old man and indulge in activities such as Christmas carolers, holiday crafts, ornament making, cookie decorating, and face painting. Santa will also be taking pictures and collecting wish lists. Reservations are required. Repeal Party at Stache
Stache (109 SW 2nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale) will be celebrating Repeal Day with music from the 1920’s and “electro swing” as well as live burlesque and aerialist performances. The party starts at 8 p.m. and extends until midnight. Visit StacheFTL.com.

Repeal Party at Dada
Delray’s Dada (52 N Swinton Ave., Delray Beach) is also celebrating Repeal Day with Speakeasy-inspired drink specials and music from Bad Apples Brass Band. Those wearing 1920’s and 1930’s attire will geta free drink. This starts at 10 p.m. Visit their Facebook page.

Free Holiday Dessert Samples
Robbie E. Custom Cakes (4570 Lyons Rd., Ste 112, Pompano Beach) will be giving away free samples of their desserts from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Try the white chocolate cranberry cake, wine soaked fruit cake, alcohol infused cupcakes and more. Christkindlmarket
It’s never too early (or too hot) to celebrate Christmas in South Florida. The American-German Club of the Palm Beaches (5111 Lantana Rd., Lake Worth) will be celebrating their annual Christkindlmarket with German food and beers, ornament and gingerbread-house making, lantern parade, and of course, Santa. The event is all day from 11 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. and also takes place on Saturday. Admission is $8 or a donation of a new unwrapped toy. Children under 12 years of age get in for free. 25 Cent Cookies at Whole Foods
National Cookie Day is on Friday, and all Whole Foods in South Florida is celebrating in a big way. The market will be offer 25-cent freshly baked chocolate chip cookies until December 8. There is a limit of three cookies for each customer. Visit WholeFoods.com.
