No. 60: French Toast from Dune Deck Cafe

The stuffed French toast at Dune Deck Cafe is graced with a fragrant blend of

raisins, apples, figs, and dates. Topped with powdered sugar and maple syrup, it's like custardy sweet-bread pudding

that's been pan-fried. Eating it at the breakfast and lunch café affords an equally sweet view. The open-air eatery sits atop Lantana Beach, and the area's bohemian vibe is reflected in the menu's Greek and Caribbean influences. Bring change for the meters, and be prepared to wait for a table.
