Everyone has an opinion on BBQ in the United States. Why even engage in the argument? One common thread regardless of taste bud affiliation is the fact that there is something familiar and comforting about BBQ that is satisfying to all those who consume it regularly. With numerous regional variations, you'd think there wouldn't be room for one more but the New Orleans-based eatery VooDoo BBQ would you to know otherwise.

Already a contender in South Florida with four stores operating in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, their version of American BBQ inspired by the fiery Cajun flavors of swampy Louisiana has now made a move into Palm Beach County with a restaurant on 5030 Champion Blvd., near the corner of North Military Trail and Clint Moore Road in the Polo Shoppes.

Florida franchisee Joe Sloboda stands by his quick expansion in our communities: "What can we say? South Florida loves our uniquely delicious New Orleans-Style BBQ and we are super excited to be bringing the VooDoo BBQ Magic to Boca Raton."

And with 20 more locations planned in the next four years, VooDoo BBQ will be sure to stand out in the sea of quick eating options.

VooDoo BBQ has made an indelible mark in the fast casual dining scenes of Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina with Florida part of an ambitious campaign. Priding itself with the use of an authentic blend of Caribbean, Cajun and Creole spices, VooDoo takes their three "C's" seriously and are big supporters of a customer first attitude. They are also participating in the government's EB-5 Visa program which allows foreign investing on qualified projects provided that they create jobs locally for US citizens.

The first spot opened early last year and the slow-cooked ribs, pulled pork, chicken and brisket have made themselves at home in the scents of a Louisiana kitchen with Gulf shrimp and crawdads sharing equal billing on the menus. Aside from solid portions at decent prices, VooDoo BBQ is also quite well-known for their proclivity for wacky promotions like last year's "free food for a year for the first 99 customers" and money/vacation giveaways. So stop on by for some familiar food with an unfamiliar spice profile and maybe you'll win something. Who knows!
