Getting service at a bar on Fort Lauderdale's posh Las Olas Boulevard is no easy task. A great deal of patience and skill is required to remain friendly or even civil as dozens of suited up office types attempt to push, shove, and bribe their way to getting a drink ahead of you.
American Social, the famed strip's latest installment, hopes to change all that by introducing Fort Lauderdale to a brand new concept--getting it yourself.

run you between $12 and $14 to start; you are required to pre-purchase two drafts. Essentially, a pint of beer will run you $6 and up depending on the draft. Lagunitas
IPA, Victory's Summer Love, and Sierra Nevada are just a few of the
beers that are currently on tap. In addition to pour-it-yourself
service, the bar also offers traditional service with a variety of
craft-beers, fresh-fruit cocktails and frozen drinks. American Social's menu includes
trendy items like flatbreads, mac-n-cheees, truffle fries and sliders.
