Espresso colored wood floors and dark furniture are balanced by large-scale mirrors and bold, sanguine walls. Orbs of light radiate from wrought iron chandeliers that hang from the high, arched ceilings, both of which help to lighten the heaviness of the decor. Guests in the intimate, private party area are obscured by sliding, frosted glass walls and the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling glass wine cellar. Vibrant colors are introduced into the space by large pieces of abstract artwork and colossal floral arrangements created by local artists.
Spanish, Brazilian and Italian influences can be seen in the impressive assortment of meat, cheese and vegetable options at the restaurant's self-service salad area.
The bar is piled high with spicy sopressata (salami), Manchego cheese, smoked prosciutto, olives, cornichons, and cornucopia of other tempting items.
All of these delicious menu items are a build up to the star of any churrascaria, the meat! Like any traditional Brazilian steakhouse, the meat is cooked over an open grill and served on sword-like skewers which is then sliced onto your plate by passadores (bombacha-wearing "meat waiters" for lack of a better term). Meat served at Texas de Brazil includes Picanha (a tri-tip roast), bacon-wrapped Filet Mignon, Brazilian sausage, leg of lamb and pork loin just to name a few.
While carnivores flock to the Texas de Brazil for the meat there is of course, another reason to venture there...
the cocktails! No Brazilian steakhouse meal is complete without a Caipirinha, a classic Brazilian cocktail with Cachaça (a Brazilian liquor made from sugarcane), lime juice, and sugar. In addition to Caipirinhas, the restaurant carries a variety of other liquers that you may not be familiar with like Amarula, a South African liquor made from Marula, a "mystical tree" that only grows in sub-equatorial Africa. You can also try one of Texas de Brazil's many flights like the Godiva, Grand Marnier,Taylor Port (featuring 10, 20, 30, 40 year old Port) or the Macallan scotch (featuring 12, 15, and 25 year old scotch) flight.
If you're not in the mood for liquor or Port there are over 200 international wines to choose from from the Chilean Santa Rita 120 wine collection to Argentine Navarro Correas.
To round off the evening try one of the restaurant's many desserts like Brazilian flan or Brazilian papaya cream or skip the calories and try a cigar from their extensive cigar collection. Saúde! (Cheers!)
