Juice lovers, rejoice: Miami's popular Jugofresh will bring their cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and plant-based snacks to Fort Lauderdale later this month with the opening of their first Broward County store.

Jugofresh will be located inside the Fort Lauderdale Whole Foods Market, and will open for business beginning Friday, August 28. Whole Foods Market Florida regional president Juan Nunez says the partnership is an extension of earlier collaboration efforts between the two companies, which launched the first Jugofresh shop-in-a-shop at Whole Foods Market in downtown Miami in January.

According to holistic coach and Jugofresh founder and CEO Matthew Sherman, the partnership with Whole Foods Market is part of his mission to partner with like-minded community businesses while growing the brand across South Florida.

“The opportunity to collaborate with a company that cares about health, community and creating a great work environment as much as we do is a dream come true,” Sherman says of Whole Foods in a release.

Sherman and chef-partner Darren Laszlo opened the first Jugofresh in April 2012 with a menu of culinary-driven, organic cold-pressed juices, raw mylks, and smoothies known for using organic, unrefined, and high-quality ingredients. Products sport quirky names like El Green-Go (apple, celery, spinach, parsley, lemon), Phylled Mylk (cucumber, almond, water, chlorophyll, coconut palm nectar, vanilla extract, grey sea salt), and Kale'ing Me Smalls (coconut meat, coconut water, banana, kale, spirulina, coconut palm sugar).

The duo currently own and operate seven Jugofresh locations throughout Miami. Last month, the company also launched a new concept called R+D Kitchen, a pop-up restaurant within its South Pointe location that serves creative plant-based cuisine paired with sake and champagne cocktails, as well as organic, vegan wine. Maybe a second such pop up is in store for Broward County? We can only dream.

Whole Foods Market Fort Lauderdale is located at 2000 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale. Visit jugofresh.com.
