Robert Irvine Hosting Live Performance at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood

If you've ever dreamed of making celebrity chef and restaurateur Robert Irvine just as nervous as the people he torments on his Food Network shows, here's your chance.

Irvine — best known as the host of the Food Network's Restaurant: Impossible, where he berates failing restaurant owners across America while simultaneously working to turn their misfortunes around in just two days with a $10,000 budget — will be putting himself on the chopping block during a live performance dubbed Robert Irvine Live.

On April 17, Irvine will be interacting with guests during an evening of "culinary adventure" at the Hard Rock Live arena at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. According to Irvine, the recently revamped stage show takes cooking to a whole new level with an interactive, multimedia, and multi-sensory theatrical experience.

In other words: don't expect a boring cooking demonstration, or scripted event.

Much like Irvine's on-air shows Dinner: Impossible and Restaurant: Impossible, the celebrity chef will walk into the theater with no knowledge of what he is about to face, making for a fun and interactive approach to the standard "cooking show," he says.

Rather than sit and watch, audience members are given the chance to participate in the evening, and select guests will have the opportunity to spin a digital wheel that customizes Irvine's live culinary challenge.

The wheel determines everything from the evening's challenge time limits, to the ingredients Irvine will be using — and even the challenge itself. No matter the outcome, up to 30 audience members will be called onstage to participate. In addition, fan tweets and posts from Facebook are collected prior to the show to be incorporated into the performance, adding to the mix. 

Fans looking for a more intimate experience will have the opportunity to attend an exclusive VIP pre-show from 5:30  to 7 p.m. The VIP access includes a cooking demonstration, question and answer session, and meet-and-greet with Irvine. 

Robert Irvine Live will take place on Friday, April 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $34 to $54 per person, or $154 per person for the VIP pre-show, and can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets, or online at myhrl.com. Doors open one-hour prior to show start time.
