Attention beer lovers: The 2016 Beerfest is happening next weekend, and if you love craft beer, you won't want to miss this year's new and improved festival.

More than 60 breweries have signed on to attend, which means there will be more than 100 different beers — some local, others national, and still more specialty imports — flowing during the 19th-annual New Times "Original" Beerfest Saturday, October 22, at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines.

Today New Times has officially released the final Beerfest brewery lineup, which includes big beer names like Guinness, Abita Brewing Company, Sea Dog Brewing, Founders Brewing Co., and Duvel Brewery alongside local supersuds hailing from across South Florida, from Miami's Concrete Beach Brewery to Broward's Khoffner Brewing and Palm Beach County's Barrel of Monks Brewing Co.

The slightly revamped event will feature expanded hours from 2 to 6 p.m., allowing the anticipated 4,000 beer connoisseurs in attendance more time to enjoy samplings of over 100 of the best local and international beers, all while enjoying music from local bands and national acts.

Looking to sample something new and exciting? In past years, Beerfest has been the go-to spot for discovering some of the newest brewers set to come online. A few local breweries that are now big in the scene made their debut during the 2014 New Times "Original" Beerfest.
This year, you'll be able to get a sneak peek at some of the new kids on the block, meaning you'll be among the first to sample flagship and experimental beer produced by soon-to-open breweries like Legacy Caribbean Craft Brewery, hailing from Miami-Dade County, and Prosperity Brewers, slated to open in Boca Raton in early 2017.

Starting today, you can purchase general admission tickets to Beerfest for $15 (regularly priced at $36.50) using the promo code YUMMY for a special offer that will be available through 10 p.m. Sunday, October 16. Visit ticketfly.com.

Pegged as the longest-running — and largest — beer festival in Broward County, Beerfest offers guests over 100 sample options including international, local, and craft beers. This epic South Florida beer festival also features live musical performances, interactive games, and food.

All New Times Beerfest ticket holders are given unlimited access to local and international beer samplings from 100-plus vendors as well as food and live music performances. General admission entrance begins at 3 p.m.; Craft Connoisseur ticket holders will receive special lounge access to sample specialty beers not available anywhere else at the event starting at 2 p.m.; and VIP ticket holders will be given access to an area offering complimentary food and larger beer pours, along with access to the Craft Connoisseur section, starting at 2 p.m.
