If sheer numbers impress you, you might want to check out Sushi Tom (1396 SW 160th Ave., Weston, 954-385-3688). The sushi bar and Japanese restaurant, open for about eight months now, serves more than 220 items -- and that doesn't even include desserts, which range from green tea ice cream to tempura cheesecake. I'm most enthusiastic about one menu item in particular: Sushi Tom serves à la carte white tuna, a buttery delicacy that too few Japanese restaurants in Broward County stock. And the eatery doesn't even charge extra for the white tuna, as many others do; instead, one piece of white tuna costs the same as regular tuna -- $2. Let's hear it for egalitarian pricing.
