What about frozen yogurt?

Red Mango

-- a pretty cool name, that -- is celebrating its grand opening today at

Terminal 3 of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Terminal 3 has long been a nexus for icy dessert items.

After

a

ribbon-cutting ceremony promptly at 1 p.m., the firm will give away yogurt to all visitors until 3 p.m.

And the airport's a pretty cool place to launch a cold dessert. As soon as folks step from the air conditioning of Terminal 3 into the humid, hot-wet-blanket-over-the-head air, they'll be glad they've got some probiotic yogurt in hand. For free.

Get it until it melts, gang.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
