Bundle up, south Florida! Tonight's going to be another chilly one, which makes it perfect to take a break from light beers and piña coladas and try some fine whiskey at Living Room at the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel.

The upscale lounge is partnering with international whiskey connoisseur Jeffrey Karlovitch for an evening of whiskey tasting that will span the globe tonight, March 27 at 6 p.m.

Karlovitch, founder of the Whisky Guild and national brand director for International Beverage Company, will talk guests through the differences between Scotch, Irish Whiskey, and bourbon and will share stories related to the spirit.

The event is free and open to the public. In addition, Living Room and Karlovitch have curated a group of special flights (at additional charge) that will be available this evening, including:

Bourbon (Maker's Mark, Blanton's, Woodford Reserve) $13
Irish (Redbreast, Jameson, Old Bushmill) $12
Scotch 18 Years (Macallan, Glenmorangie, Glenlivet) $35
High End mix (Johnny Walker Blue Label, Macallan 25 Years, Elijah Craig 20 Years) $60
