"Original" Beerfest

Beerfest Is Saturday: Two Dozen Beers to Watch Out For (and Last Chance for Discount Tickets)

The 17th-annual New Times' Original Beerfest, presented by Isle Casino, happens this Saturday, and it's going to be epic, people.

If you love beer, there's absolutely no better way to spend your day than sampling more than 100 different beers waterside at Fort Lauderdale's beautiful Esplanade Park.

From 7 to 10 p.m., breweries from across the country and around the world will present their finest selections, many of them rare beers. Plus, if you like to keep it local, South Florida's best -- including Funky Buddha, Saltwater, Opus Ales, Inlet Brewing Co., and Miami Brewing Co. -- will showcase their sudsy wares.

Plus, there's live music by Shane Duncan Band and Pandia and delicious food to purchase (free nibbles if you snagged an impossible-to-get VIP ticket).

General-admission tickets to this 21-and-over event cost only $30 at ticketfly.com and include unlimited beer sampling. Clean Plate Charlie readers can get $10 off a GA ticket using promo code 10GA2. But hurry! That promo code expires today, October 22, at 10 p.m.!

Our new Brewmaster ticket, priced at $45, gets you in to Beerfest at 6 p.m. (one hour early) so you can not only stake out your beers before the crowds but you'll also have access to special exclusive VIP and Brewmaster beers.

Full price ticket sales will continue at the door the day of the event but have been known to sell out. And you don't want to miss out on all that sudsy fun.

As a public service, we've listed the two dozen beers you absolutely don't want to miss out on (and a few special beers only available for Brewmaster and VIP ticketholders). Cheers!
