So your boss turned Grinch on you and announced that there will be no Christmas party and no bonuses this year with a giant, "Bah, Humbug."

We have alternate plans for you and all your coworkers.

Come out the the New Times' Happy Hour App Party this Friday, December 13, at America's Backyard.

From 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, enjoy holiday happy-hour goodness with Skyy Vodka cocktails and a buffet on us.

The party also features two-for-one drink specials and music by SOSOS.

The happy hour is free for you and your friends, but you must register in advance at ticketfly.com.

Tell your boss, Mr. Scrooge McGrinch to shove it, and spread the word to your friends and family that the party's at America's Backyard! Ugly Christmas sweaters not required.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
