Clean Plate Charlie has learned that PL8 Kitchen has closed.

The former Himmarshee Bar & Grill changed its name and format about a year ago to PL8, which featured reworked and elevated bar favorites like pizzas and chicken wings.

page has not been updated since September 1 and a call to the restaurant

during normal business hours was unanswered.

We passed by this morning around 10:30 and, while there were still tables and chairs, there was no activity or people prepping for a Friday afternoon lunch service.

Calls to several neighboring restaurants confirmed that the restaurant had closed this past Monday, but that there may be plans for it to reopen.
