For the business world, 2013 was a good year. South Florida real estate bounded back, the stock market saw record highs, Florida unemployment fell to 6.3 percent, and we got tons of new restaurants in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Overall, things are looking good these days.
As we close the books on 2013, we figured it was time to pause and reflect on what has happened in our restaurant scene in the past 365 days. Burgers, apparently, are still proving to sell until the cows come home (pun intended). On the opposite end of the fence, we've received ample health-conscious and ethical restaurants. See, our food choices are as split down the middle as our Congress.
