There is no better time of year than fall in South Florida. The summer's too hot, the winter holidays are all stress, and we don't even have a proper springtime. But the real reason this season is kicking all the others' asses is because it's the one with the best day ever: Halloween.
There's nothing more rejuvenating than getting into a costume you made with your own two paws and consuming massive amounts of chocolate. And the parties! Oh, the parties. There are so many this year. And we know you love to mingle, so here's our huge list of 15 Halloween festivities in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

15. Hellraiser Halloween

Here's one freaky deaky event for you presented by Circle. The folks at the Fetish Factory have taken on a new, indie, not-fetish scene while keeping the allure of "the Other" strong. Taking place at American Rock Bar and Grill, the Hellraiser Halloween party features performances by resident DJ Alex Dalliance, the Circle Serpents Cyanide Regime, and guest DJ Kaos. Burlesque performer Val Vampyre will be adding sexy to horror while you sip on drink specials in pure pleather, enjoying the luxury of free parking.

14. Halloween Fetish Ball

Now, if you're into fetish for real, you may want to check out this event which claims it's "the largest Halloween fetish event in the United States" with at least 1,500 attendees each year.

There'll be two indoor rooms and one outside. Entertainment includes Crash, Jezebelle Red, Miss Eva Patron, and many others. Some artists playing include DJ Kaos, DJ LinderSmash and Mad Vinny. Let's not forget the sexy Fetish Factory dancers Naomi Necro and Lexus Wickedd.
MoonFest with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Gravel Kings, Ethan Parker Band, Sweet Bronco, Franscene, The Kinected, and many more. In its 22nd year, Moonfest shows no signs of slowing down. With the blocks of Clematis street covered, there will be three stages with music, carnival rides and games, a costume contest with $1,000 prize, special VIP areas, vendors, food trucks, and new feature Audioplayground Silent Disco. As probably one of West Palm's biggest events of the year, it'll even be pretty damn hard for Halloween to beat.
12. Judas Priest at Hard Rock Live

Judas Priest will not be breaking the law but breaking your eardrums at Hard Rock on the eve of the big day. Rob Halford will summon the metal spirits with his howl on the South Florida stop of the Redeemer of Souls tour.
11. Mai-Kai Annual Halloween Party

Fort Lauderdale's Polynesian-themed restaurant will be celebrating its sixth annual Hulaween in the Molokai bar this Friday. You'll want to go hard on the half off drinks so that dancing to live tunes by Slip and the Spinouts. Need some snacks with your Barrel o' Rum? Appetizers will be half off, too. Don't forget to look your best if you want to get "lei"-ed later that night.
10. Halloween Costume Ball Featuring the Heavy Pets & the Main Squeeze

Jam out to the Heavy Pets and the Main Squeeze at the Funky Biscuit wearing whatever the hell you please. Admidst all the Halloween celebrations is the fact that it's the Heavy Pets' 999th live performance -- that's one less than 1000! Costume contest participants can win a $250 cash prize from BocaVapes and swag from SweetWater Brewing Company along with music from the bands. They're also promising surprises and plenty of band collaborations, so find out and rub it in your friends' faces that couldn't attend.
9. Trick or Beats with Lil Jon and Borgeous

Get turnt up at Trick or Beats which claims to be America's largest Halloween costume party with a crazy lineup of DJs like Brass Knuckles, Borgeous, and even Lil Jon. This party is going to be straight up insane. Feel free to dress up like that guy in the video.
8. Tim Burton Halloween Spectacular
10 p.m., Friday October 31, at Revolution Live, 100 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. $10 for 21 and older and $15 under 21. Visit jointherevolution.net.

We're thrilled Rev is hosting a party to honor the great darkness that is Burton. There'll be plenty of music, including a performance by Astari Nite. Make sure to come in costume so you look extra fly in the Sweeney Todd selfie booth.
7. Hoodoo Voodoo Halloween Blues Ball

The Hoodoo Voodoo Halloween Blues Ball is in its 15th year and will feature the likes of JP Soars and the Red Hots, the Nucklbesusters, Joel DaSilva and the Midnight Howl, and so many other amazing artists who play the blues. But guaranteed you'll be feeling anything but the blues at this long-running fete.
6. Halloween Birthday Bash

Boca's Black Rose Irish Pub scored a spot on our Halloween list, and for a good reason. This huge bash will have three bands performing, including a r!m tribute band Jack!t, a Misfits cover band Horror Business, and doom metal folks Moguera.
But it's just one night of a long Halloweek at the bar. The place has tons lined up, starting October 25, with events such as the largest beer pong tournament, scareoke, and more.

5. Halloween at America's Backyard

This one is for all our frat bros and party gals, or for those who just want to have a sloppy good time. Good ol' America's Backyard will host a Halloween party complete with a costume contest to win cash or prizes. Hit this joint up Thursday for pre-Halloween festivities, including $1 drinks and Nick Nistico at the Candy Bar. We suggest sleeping in your costume if you're going to both.

Imagine that all the villain movie characters that ever scared you decided to throw a party and you've got Gulfstream Park's Hollywood Horror Nights. All the creatures of the night you remember from your youth are heading out to the track. There'll be live shows, world class choreography, and just all around creepiness. You can even dress up, too. Just remember one of the rules: do not wear your mask inside of the casino. Not only will you scare the people at the slot machines, but you can get in some hot water with the authorities.

3. South Florida Day of the Dead Celebration

The traditional Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead, gets not one, but two days of full celebration in Riverwalk, Fort Lauderdale Historical Center, Revolution Live and other venues in Fort Laudy. Special features include live music, the First Annual International Tequila Fest, BoneYard BandStand, and Skeleton Burlesque at America's Backyard, the Craft Crypt at Bar Stache, food trucks, and more. Passion Nightclub is the spot for those who want to really play hard this Halloween. DJ CX will be on the turntables with an opening set by Lex in the Mix. Really work that costume you've got cause the prize for the best dressed contest is a whopping $10k. WTF? That's nuts. We'll see ya there.
1. Haunted Hotel

We got a haunted hotel on our list and no, we are not referring to the ride at Disney. The W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale will be both haunted by creepy tourists as well as sexy ghouls. DJs Richie Rich and Mark Gallo have got the tunes portion covered for this event, so your only job is to bring your dancing shoes and use 'em.
