This week's New Times includes a feature on Jim Jonsin, the Coral Springs resident who's quickly become a super-producer and is blowing up the hip-hop and pop charts. (You've doubtless heard one of his recent hits, any number of synth-driven tracks like Soulja Boy's "Kiss Me Through the Phone," T.I.'s "Whatever You Like," and, most famously, Lil Wayne's "Lollipop." Seriously, read the article to learn more.)photo by Aaron Bristol Jim Jonsin
After the jump, listen to one of his latest creations garnering some buzz, Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams," one of the latest singles from her album I Am... Sasha Fierce.
Like Jonsin's other well-known songs, this one is largely
keyboard-propelled. But unlike the top-end chirping of his work for,
say, Soulja Boy, this is swirling, and darker -- a beat Michael Jackson
might like if he were trying to update his Thriller-era style. That's a compliment for sure. This MP3 is for streaming only, but try to enjoy it just the same.
