If you've ever been to one of the debaucherous Mai-Kai events, you know the DJ trio of James Brown's Sweat, Sensitive Side, and Mikey R. throw one helluva party. Sure, the copious amounts of pineapple mixed drinks get things going. But, it's the vinyl spinning around the turntables that really draws a crowd. From Motown hits to classic soul favorites, and a bit of girl group tracks thrown in, there is no telling what those dudes will pull outta the record bins. But, we can guarantee it will make you want to shake those coconuts.

Well, the boys are back and your feet and liver are gonna be in trouble. On Saturday night, "The Popcorn Soul Revue" brings a new dance party to the 5 Points Lounge in Fort Lauderdale. Spinning all night long will be James Brown's Sweat, Sensitive Side, Mikey R., and Blue. In addition to loads of dance floor action, there will be girl gang films projected on the wall, a late night happy from 9p.m. to 11p.m., food truck delights, and giveaways from Radio-Active Records and Public Image Vintage. Oh yeah, and free popcorn til you puke. Sounds like the Yellow Cab folks are going to be busy on Saturday night.

While you pick out outfits and shine those dancing shoes, get in the mood with our girl group song picks after the jump.
