For the nostalgic choice, try the linzer torte cookies: petite hearts of raspberry, strawberry, or hazelnut, dusted in powdered sugar. Named for Linz, Austria, these little cookies are a mini-riff off the latticed version of the classic, thought to be among the oldest known recipes in the world.
