Next Monday, May 12, the Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. will open a new location in Boca Raton. Located at 22191 Powerline Rd., the restaurant will be the 19th location in the nation for the chain originally founded in Delray Beach.

Currently, the company has several locations in South Florida, including Lake Worth, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and Delray Beach.

Best known for pioneering the use of "Brooklynized" water for use in its food, beverage and bakery products, the restaurant uses its own proprietary water treatment system called "Brooklyn Water Works," to turn ordinary tap water into something special.

First, the water is purified to replicate the natural composition of the water that flows through the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. Next, the company adds unique "elements" only found in the their water. Because, hey, it's all about the water when it comes to New York bagels.

"Understanding that Boca Raton would be a natural fit for our gourmet bagels, The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. was actively seeking a location in this city for the past four years," says Mike D'Angelo, Chief Operating Officer of The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. "We are thrilled to announce that we've secured two locations, the first opening on Powerline Road and a second restaurant planned for east Boca."

Believing that there are no shortcuts to creating quality products, The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. uses an old-world artisan recipe for making its New York-style bagels. In addition to freshly baked bagels, the made-to-order menu at The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. includes other New York favorites like breakfast sandwiches, over-stuffed bagelwiches, Scooper Melts, and muffins. Coffee lovers will enjoy the restaurant's signature Iced Coffee Cubsta, which features ice cubes that made completely out of freshly roasted coffee, as well its coffee station that is equipped with all of the essential tools for customizing the perfect cup of coffee.

Since launching its first restaurant in 2009, The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. is planning on growing its Florida-based brand, with new locations in California, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. In addition to the Boca Raton locations, downtown Fort Lauderdale will be on the map by the end of 2014.
