It was bound to happen; I'm surprised it took this long: Sage French American Cafe (2378 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale, 954-565-2299) has announced the premiere of "Moulin Rouge Nights" on October 31 at 8:30 p.m. Basing the show, which will be performed every Wednesday, on the one from the infamous Moulin Rouge cabaret, the restaurant will be showcasing Parisian life in the early 1900s. In other words females in feathers and sequins will flirt, chat, joke, and do the cancan. What makes this Moulin Rouge worth seeing (as opposed to the Nicole Kidman film) is the dancers themselves, who hail from the highly regarded Miami City Ballet. That, and the fact that there's no cover charge. Now that's what I call getting your kicks where you can... can.
