I've always wondered about the "power" in "power smoothie." Does such a drink really give you a boost for your workout? I experimented at Power Smoothie (330 Clematis St., West Palm Beach, 5618209100), where the namesake concoction contains -- in addition to strawberries, bananas, and sugar cane juice -- more than 30 vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. I also discovered that, if you like your vitamins au naturel in the form of vegetables, you can have them served in the form of a raw-vegetable pita, a roasted red-pepper submarine sandwich with garlic-oregano sauce, a grilled eggplant wrap, or a black-bean burger. Of course, by the time you consume all this, working out may be the furthest thing from your mind. But at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that you can forget about popping that all-purpose vitamin pill.
