Long before there were smoothies, frappes, frappuccinos, and frozen yogurt, there was the milkshake — our nation's favorite summertime treat. If you're sweating it out over the next few months, a milkshake might just be the way to go.
We're not quite sure why a giant cup of ice-whipped dairy is so refreshing, but that's not going to stop us from indulging in a few new fun flavors compliments of Hoffman's Chocolates. Starting today, the Greenacres-based chocolatier and sweet shop is launching four new special-edition milkshakes for a limited time. These include unique flavor combinations that marry the company's handmade chocolates with its fresh-churned ice cream.
Each limited-edition milkshake will be available Thursday, June 11, through Thursday, August 13 at participating Hoffman’s Chocolates locations in Broward and Palm Beach counties where ice cream is sold.
- The Apple Pie A La Mode shake is made with Hoffman’s Apple Strudel ice cream and laced with your choice of dark chocolate or graham cracker crumbles.
- Infuse some of the Florida Keys into your life with the Key Lime Escape shake, a blend of the shop's vanilla ice cream swirled with Hoffman’s fluffy milk chocolate Key lime creams.
- For a refreshing taste of the tropics, try the Orange Dreamsicle Breeze, a blend of dark chocolate tangerine creams and the Dreamsicle ice cream.
- The last new shake will have you buzzing: a Coffee Bean Cooler shake that mixes the Boca Latte milk chocolate with the house coffee ice cream.
Hoffman's Chocolates is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and currently has eight stores across South Florida, including in Lake Worth, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Plantation.
